Starch is a polysaccharide (a mixture of complex sugars) extracted from plants.
It has a mattifying effect on the skin, leaving a slightly powdery film that helps to conceal imperfections. Particularly beneficial for oily skin, it reduces shine by absorbing excess sebum secretions.
With its high absorbent capacity, starch can be used in a variety of moisturizing products.
