How to take care of your skin in spring?

Winter is over, we finally take out our heads from our big scarves and hats to enjoy the first rays of the sun. But here is, we have the complexion a little dull and tired, a little fatty too and potentially small buttons because of having eaten very rich dishes. In short, our skin lacks radiance! Let us reassure ourselves, it is completely normal. Our skin needs a little lapse of time to get used to the new temperatures and the new care we use. Does your skin change in spring?

Well yes, your skin changes just as the seasons change! In summer, the skin is thickened by the sun's rays. We have a fresh, luminous and tanned complexion, it is the best time of the year to have a beautiful skin! In autumn, we often have to deal with what we call in the jargon "rebound acne". Our skin is less exposed to the sun, it becomes thinner and all the sebum and toxins that have accumulated during the summer find their way out. The pimples swarm and we don't really know what to do to get our skin back to normal! When winter arrives, the skin has recovered from its intense acne episode and tends to tighten. The cold and the wind attack it all day long. To soothe it, we use richer creams and so does our diet. Less fruits and vegetables, more greasy foods and treatments. Then the beautiful days arrive, the clouds become more scattered and the sun finally shows its face. What happiness! We can finally take the sun to relax and give life to our dull complexion ... And it was time because by dint of foods and oily care, we have the complexion wrinkled! It's time to put in place a spring beauty routine.

Step 1: Purify the skin

To regain a beautiful complexion, start by purifying your skin and your body! During the long winter months, toxins have accumulated on the skin but also in our organs. You should therefore think about eating a diet rich in vegetables and fruit, drink at least 1.5 liters of water per day to help your organs cleanse themselves and resume sports activities. Nothing better than these three tips to start eliminating toxins! To purify the skin, we can also implement two new steps in our beauty routine:

  • Always pre-cleanse your skin with a micellar water or make-up remover. This step allows to eliminate dead skin and impurities accumulated during the day. It is essential even for people who do not wear makeup!
  • Once or twice a week, perform a fine-grained scrub or a fruit acid peel. Thanks to a mechanical or chemical action, they will eliminate all the dead cells present on the skin, smooth the skin texture and give it back its radiance!

Step 2: Moisturize your skin

To continue with the good habits to adopt in the spring to regain a luminous complexion, let's talk about hydration! No matter what type of skin you have, your skin needs to be moisturized. A moisturizer keeps the skin's hydrolipidic film intact. But with all the external and internal elements that constantly attack it, this film is put to the test every day. When the hydrolipidic film is damaged, the door is open to all the problems that go with it! Moisturizing is therefore a key step, especially at the end of winter when the skin has suffered a lot. Using a cream or a vegetable oil will help you keep your skin moisturized and protected in the long term. In the evening, don't hesitate to add a plumping or anti-thirst serum, especially if you are part of the dry skin team! The serum will have a more thorough and targeted action than a moisturizer, it is perfect to correct small skin problems. If you feel like you need a lighter skin care product, turn to moisturizing fluids. They're perfect for light, effective moisturizing!

Step 3: Protect your skin

Last but not least, protect your skin from the sun! It's never too early to bring out your sun protection. In fact, we should use a cream with an SPF all year long because the sun's UV rays are very powerful! Who hasn't experienced sunburn on a cloudy day at the beach? No one has! So, in the spring, as soon as the sun's rays become a little stronger, remember to take out your sun cream! It will be very useful, especially after months during which your skin has hardly seen the sun.
