Blue Spirulina is recognized for its healing and soothing properties. Indeed, phycocyanin, the pigment which gives spirulina its blue color, has anti-inflammatory properties which contribute to cell regeneration and limit skin irritation. Spirulina is therefore recommended for all skin types, but particularly for dry and sensitive skin.
Applied to the skin in the form of a mask, spirulina helps maintain collagen levels, and thus promote the elasticity and suppleness of the skin.
