Banana hair mask recipe with key steps
To get to the heart of the matter, here are three hair mask recipes with banana!

  • For a mask that softens and stimulates hair growth: mix a well-mashed banana with a tablespoon of sweet almond oil. Apply the mixture to hair strand by strand and to the scalp, then cover with a towel for 30 minutes. Wash your hair as usual!
  • For a hair mask for dry, curly or frizzy hair: mix a mashed banana with a vegetable oil of your choice (argan, almond oil, coconut, etc.) and add an egg yolk and a teaspoon or tablespoon of honey. Apply to the lengths and leave on for about 30 minutes before washing your hair. For this mask, the egg yolk and honey can be replaced with plain yogurt and avocado oil! A splash of lemon juice can also be added to increase the moisturizing power of the mask.
  • For a banana-honey mask that restores shine: mix a mashed banana with an egg, four teaspoons of olive oil, three teaspoons of honey and a little milk to give it a semi-liquid texture. Apply to hair and leave on for 30 minutes before rinsing in the shower!

Once your hair is rinsed, to prolong the benefits, apply a few drops of one of the oils from our organic hair care line.

How often should I use the banana mask?

Depending on your hair problems, the banana hair mask can be applied several times a month. If your hair is very dry or you have a lot of itching on the scalp, you can do a mask every week. If you just need a little shot of nutrition from time to time, once every two weeks will be more than enough! To optimize the effects of the mask, you can wrap your hair in a warm towel during the break. This will open the hair scales and the care products will penetrate more easily!
