The benefits of Macadamia oil

Macadamia nut: origin and history

The macadamia nut or macadamia (Macadamia Ternifolia) is the fruit of the Queensland walnut, a tropical tree native to the rain forests of Australia. It is also known as "kindal kindal" among the aborigines who have exploited and consumed it for millennia.

This walnut makes one of the most expensive nuts in the world. Its nuts are known to be the oilseed dried fruit richest in lipids, around 80% of its composition, including 60% of monounsaturated fatty acids, fatty acids good for health. They also contain a very rare fatty acid: palmitoleic acid or Omega 7, which has the particularity of promoting cell regeneration.

Macadamia oil: its benefits for skin and hair

Obtained by squeezing nuts, macadamia oil is a dry oil that quickly penetrates the skin and provides a dry feel and is non-comedogenic.

It is made up of over 50% omega 9 and is known to have a moisturizing and nourishing action. Its richness in omega 7 (+ 20%) also gives it restorative and softening properties for weakened skin (chapping, redness, sunburn), but also anti-aging properties by participating in the prevention of the appearance of wrinkles and brown spots. It prevents stretch marks, calms irritation and itching. Ideal for oily or fragile skin.

Macadamia oil treats acne, protects against climatic aggressions and serves as a natural sun filter but with an index 5 which remains low.

Macadamia oil also cares for and nourishes irritated or dry scalps. It also nourishes and moisturizes dry and brittle hair due to its beneficial action on the reconstitution of their fibers. It is also known for its protective action against colorings.

In leg massage, it facilitates micro-circulation and helps tone the lymphatic system, you can incorporate it into your body creams to relieve heavy legs.
