Eczéma : comment en venir à bout avec des produits naturels ?

Eczema, also called atopic dermatitis, is a skin disease that affects more than one in three people in France. Adults, adolescents, children and babies, everyone can have eczema one day. This chronic skin disease can be hereditary or occur after using irritating beauty products, overly aggressive laundry, or even be a reaction to an allergen. The reasons for eczema flare-ups can be difficult to spot because there are several triggers. As with the variety of factors, there are also many forms of eczema and they are not all treated the same.

The different forms and types of eczema

Several forms of eczema are now detected:

Atopic eczema, the most common. It is an inherited peculiarity of skin that follows affected people throughout their lives. Eczema flares can happen at any time and are most often caused by an allergen.

Contact eczema. Flare-ups are triggered after contact with an allergen (dust, mites, molds, allergenic foods).

Secondary eczema. This is a skin reaction that can occur after applying a cosmetic that contains an allergen, that does not match the type of skin, or that is expired.

Photosensitizing eczema. It's eczema related to the sun! Be careful not to apply photosensitizing products before exposure to the sun.

All forms of eczema have their little peculiarities:

Eczema can be dry. In this case the skin is very uncomfortable and itchy. Red patches appear on the body, indicating skin irritation.

We can also see small circles appearing on the skin: this is nummular eczema! Small circles, no bigger than coins, are red and scratchy.

Small cracks or blisters filled with transparent fluid are also types of atopic dermatitis.

Finally, it can be reflected on the skull through yellowish crusts.

Can eczema go away?

When you're prone to chronic eczema (atopic eczema), you never really get rid of it, it's a chronic disease like any other. However, and fortunately, the crises are not constant! You can go several months without having any flare-ups.

Symptoms of atopic dermatitis usually last for a week or two if treatments are started soon.

For milder forms, such as reactions to allergens or stress, the flare-ups will be momentary. The skin reacts to a specific element at a time T. Like when you eat a dairy product to which you are allergic for example. The first few times you can consult a specialist. This appointment will allow you to identify the allergy that concerns you and put aside what creates the skin reactions.

Not all forms of atopic dermatitis should be taken lightly. They all create great discomfort for those affected and can be very difficult for some. DMARDs or creams may be used to relieve eczema flare-ups.

How to treat eczema naturally and without cortisone?

For the more severe forms of eczema, medical cream treatments will be most effective in soothing the tightness and itching. Of course, a few everyday gestures or natural techniques can limit flare-ups or even attenuate them.

First of all, avoid conventional cosmetics as much as possible! We cannot say it enough, their formulas contain ingredients that can be very irritating to the skin ... And when we have chronic eczema, our skin is sensitive by nature. How to treat eczema on the face, especially around the eyes?
To treat eczema on the face, you can apply any of the moisturizing ingredients mentioned above! Also, be careful not to apply makeup during the eczema flare-up. We also try not to scratch his face or even touch it.

For eczema around the eyes, there are several options! You should already know that the skin around the eyes is very fragile. Little supplied with sebaceous glands, it is very dry skin that must be moisturized morning and evening with specific care for the eye area.
